The brief
GIA is a short-term and extended stay rental operator that transforms vacant apartments and homes into modern, thoughtfully designed, hotel-like spaces, complete with full kitchens, furnishings, and in-unit washer & dryer facilities. GIA partners with real estate owners and manages or leases up to 100% of their multi-family units in key US markets. Presently, GIA operates in the western, southwestern, midwestern, and southeastern regions, catering to thousands of guests every month.
Challenge
GIA approached us to create the website and technical infrastructure that drives their business. Collaborating with our design team, which led the brand design, the objective was to develop a minimalist website that resonated with the style and premium quality of their offerings. Additionally, the website needed to offer a seamless booking experience meticulously optimized for boosting sales.

Solution
We initiated with a discovery process to grasp their vision and requirements. We analyzed competitors and produced prototypes and concept designs to explore various visual directions, eventually settling on a bold, simple aesthetic.
As we navigated the design flow, we continually refined the user experience and user interface. Given the complexity of the application, a significant challenge we faced was ensuring users comprehended their position in the booking process and what they could anticipate in the upcoming phases. To address this, we conceived a progress bar detailing each phase, displaying the current status, and clarifying any required user actions. To guarantee accessibility across devices, we adapted all desktop mockups for seamless viewing and property bookings on mobile and tablet interfaces.
